About New Seneca Village

New Seneca Village is a restorative residency experience that invites leaders and healers to access expansive resources (time, space, access to nature, restorative practices, intentional community and higher consciousness) for the sake of nourishing and sustaining their collective visioning for a just future.

New Seneca Village is a fiscally sponsored project of Possibility Labs.

About Possibility Labs (PL)

Possibility Labs’ mission is to accelerate and empower community-driven solutions that are built, led, and governed by and for low-income and BIPOC communities, by providing the essential financial and legal infrastructure to manage and move integrated capital to BIPOC-led movement groups. We aim to advance racial, gender, and climate justice and a new economy where everyone thrives.

About the Opportunity: Reporting to the Founder and Co-Executive Director (On Legacy), the Co-Executive Director (On Mission) co-creates the strategic vision for New Seneca Village’s next chapter in close partnership with the Founder & Co-Executive Director. This leader drives financial sustainability by diversifying funding, amplifies the organization's paradigm-shifting narrative through powerful storytelling, and builds the operational infrastructure.

KEY PRIORITIES DURING YOUR FIRST YEAR

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Diversify Funding & Steward Donor Relations  - 30%

  • Lead and implement New Seneca Village’s fundraising strategy—securing at least $660K annually, with a goal of $1.2M yearly by 2027—through diversified revenue streams, especially individual and major giving.
  • Work collaboratively with the Founder & Co-Executive Director to align near-term fundraising with the $50M Legacy Vision, advancing the Village’s long-term independence and sustainability.
  • Lead marketing and engagement strategies that strengthen relationships with funders and partners—through gatherings, convenings, and open houses—while managing grant development and partnerships that sustain long-term growth.

Lead Strategic Communications & Storytelling - 30%

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy that integrates storytelling, newsletters, media, and social platforms to amplify the Village’s vision, mission, and impact of village offerings.
  • Cultivate relationships with media, funders, and ecosystem partners to share the Village’s narrative as a paradigm shift toward abundance, restoration, and collective sustainability for change leaders and healers.

Build the Organizational Infrastructure & Lead the 501(c)3 Transition - 20%

  • Partner with the Founder & Co-Executive Director to co-create and operationalize the strategy and vision for New Seneca Village’s next chapter.
  • Develop and execute the roadmap for the Village’s transition to independent 501(c)(3) status, establishing health benefits, internal policies, and financial and governance systems that reflect its values and ensure sustainability.
  • Manage and support the Residency Ecosystem Director to ensure the residency experience maintains success,  is smoothly executed and aligned across programs, operations, and communications.
  • Steward learning and data practices by analyzing feedback from Village offerings, internal practices, and ongoing engagement with Villagers to surface insights that strengthen the Village’s ecosystem.

Co-Facilitate Residency Experiences - 20%

  • Co-facilitate restorative residency experiences that center restoration, healing, and collective visioning.
  • Build upon the existing curriculum to deepen and tailor residency experiences to the diverse learning and restorative needs of Villagers, ensuring each leader feels seen, resourced, and connected to the community.
  • Working closely with the Residency Ecosystem Director, analyze insights and data emerging from residencies and gatherings with Villagers to identify patterns, surface learnings, and translate them into strategies and operational shifts that strengthen the Village’s ecosystem.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You Believe in New Seneca Village’s Mission to provide restorative residency experiences that invite leaders and healers to access expansive resources—time, space, nature, community, and consciousness—to sustain their collective visioning for a just future.
  • You Are a Big-Picture Thinker Who Connects Vision to Action. You move easily between vision and action. You can see the big picture—how all the pieces connect—while also rolling up your sleeves to make things happen on the ground. You balance strategy with care for the details that bring it to life.
  • You Innovate and Diversify Revenue Streams. You design and refine creative approaches to resourcing the mission; testing new ideas, partnerships, and funding models that strengthen sustainability and adapt to shifting political and philanthropic contexts.
  • You are Detailed-Oriented. You translate strategy into execution through clear systems, consistent communication, and reliable follow-through—building trust across the Village through operational excellence and care.
  • You Balance Collaboration and Independence. You know when to align and when to carry vision forward with courage and clarity. You value collective wisdom while contributing your own ideas and grounded perspective to shared decisions.
  • You Are a Strategic Communicator. You use words to build connection, understanding and engagement, communicating with clarity and humility across audiences—from Villagers and staff to boards, funders, and partners. You share stories and insights that move people toward collective purpose and action.
  • You Center Restoration & Healing in Your Leadership. You embody and steward restoration, connection, and visioning not as side practices, but as foundational leadership modalities. You hold the tension between urgency and rest, ensuring systems, rhythms, and structures support longevity, not burnout.
  • You Practice Relational Leadership. You lead with integrity, humility and curiosity, recognizing and drawing out the strengths of those around you. You build trust and clarity through guidance and care, creating the conditions for people to lead with confidence and accountability.
  • You Are a Systems Thinker and Knowledge Steward. You design and codify organizational systems that make knowledge accessible and sustainable — not dependent on any one person. You document institutional memory, clarify workflows, and build processes that support long-term staff learning and development.

In addition to the PL package, New Seneca Village offers a profoundly restorative work environment, including fifteen vacation days aligned with our residency calendar and three weeklong holiday breaks each year to support collective rest and renewal.
